Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Just what you need on Christmas Day. An easy recipe, that’s delicious too. This recipe literally took me 5 minutes to prepare giving me more time to knit while it was baking. Simple, delicious, and healthy. Enough said.

Maple-Roasted Brussels Sprouts (adapted from Savvy Eats)

Ingredients:
3 cups brussels sprouts, washed and sliced in half
2 tbsp of olive oil (enough to coat all the sprouts thoroughly)
2 tbsp maple syrup
sprinkling of salt and pepper

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Toss all ingredients in a bowl. Spread on a baking sheet or dish. No need to grease or line the dish because the olive oil prevents them from sticking.

2. Bake in the oven for 25- 30 minutes until sprouts are soft when a fork is inserted or until the outside leaves turn slightly brown.
